PEOPLE IN NEED

One of our Pastors  David Dwomoh recently responded to a call from God to preach the gospel in some rural communities in the Asutifi South District in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana. On one of his evangelism trips, came across a homeless family. Please read the story.......

One month old baby saved from fire A farmer in the South District Assembly, Hwidiem in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana had her cottage in which her one month old baby was sleeping burnt down to ashes when it caught fire which was said to have spread from burning a bush nearby. According to the farmer Ama Serwaa, she had left her four children with the month old in the cottage to the farm on the morning of 8th of this month, 2017. Whilst on the farm she heard voices screaming like people calling for help from a far distance. She said she felt danger i mmediately she heard those screams and rushed to the cottage only to find it on fire, with her baby sleeping inside

Ama Serwaa could not bear the pain of watching the fire burn her baby to death and gathered courage and walked through the fire to find her baby lying down, surrounded by flames. She picked him up,wrapped her arms around him and rushed out of the fire. God being so good the baby did not suffer any burn and the Doctor has confirmed he is safe. The mother however had some minor burns.

The sad news is that the family has lost all their belongings, including shelter. The children are not going to school because they have no clothing to wear. They are currently living in a polythene-made tent, sleeping on materials spread on the ground.

It is pathetic to see a month old baby shivering, having slept in the cold. We are calling on individuals, religious bodies and corporate organizations to come to their aid. Anything that can help provide shelter, clothing and food for the family.
